Here are a few pictures of lately. I promise to try and update more on my blog. I don't know why I have slacked. We are doing well. The girls are busy and growing.

We are Alive just took an extended break

I can't find my camera cable to download pictures so sorry no updated pics at this present time.
We are alive. We moved in October just down the street so not that far. We love where we are as of now.
Exciting news for us. Mike starts class on April 4th for a Captain position out of LaGuardia, NY. His class should be about 6-8 weeks and then he will be captain on reserve out of NY. (that will suck) but it is a step in the right direction. We are very excited.

The girls are growing like crazy and are keeping me busy.
Life is good. Hope everyone else is doing well also.

Summer 2010

I am pretty behind on posting so I will just combine a few posts together. In July we had Sydney's bday( I can't believe she is 4 already), a few day trips for our vacation, camping, Bryce Canyon, Friends visits ( Tanya and Valerie) and so far in August we have been getting ready for Kindergarden and Preschool and Soccer.And Mike and I celebrated our 9th Anniversary. We have had a good summer and are excited for Brooke to start kindergarden and Sydney will be in Preschool twice a week so it will just be me and Kira for a couple of hours a week. I got to see Valerie Wood on her way to Seattle and it was so good to visit with her and the family. Thanks for making time for me and about a week later got to see Tanya Staples while she was in Salt Lake visiting family. She took me out for my bday and we ate and got pedicures. Thanks T !!! Mike actually had about 10 days off in July so we took the girls camping for the first time, went to Bryce Canyon , Jump on It, Toy Story 3, *the girls first movie* and lots of little things. It was nice and relaxing.

Bryce Canyon

We went last week to Bryce Canyon. It is so beautiful. We camped and hiked and loved the scenery. Camping wasn't as fun with Kira, I think next year will be better when she is just a bit older but the other two girls had a blast. This was their first time camping and all. We enjoyed ourselves and it was nice and cool there so it was nice to get away from the heat.

kira 10 months

I can hardly believe my little baby is already 10 months and into everything
Here are a few of the things she is doing now
-Walking since 8months 19days
-climbing stairs
-eating table food (she won't eat baby food anymore at all)
-still not a good sleeper (still up twice a night)
-dancing
-she is still in the 5-10 % of weight and height
-totally a mommy's girl all the way. I am the only one she wants some days which makes getting things done sometimes hard.
We love our little Kira she brings so much into our family.

No Lions, One Tiger and No bears

Last Saturday we took the girls to the zoo as we do every year. And every year Mike says next year we really need to go to San Diego Zoo. The girls don't know any different so they have a blast except that their Polar Bears and Black Bears aren't there this year and that was the girls favorites but oh well we still had fun. We took a train ride, had dippin dots, and had a carnival ride. All in all a good day.

My first 5k

well I did it. It may have been slow and up hill the first mile but I ran my first 5k in May. I know most people have been there done that, it's only 3.2 miles but I hadn't and so I was happy with myself. I have never ran in my life until I lived in North Dakota right before I got pregnant with Brooke then started having kids and after Sydney was born started again and was doing good averaging 4.5 a day 3 times a week and then got pregnant with kira and so lost all that so about 3 months ago really started to try again and it was hard this time getting back into running one because I can really only exercise when Mike is home and he is never home (ok he is home on the weekends) and I gained way more weight with Kira than expected so my big butt just didn't want to run but in May I signed up for a mini boot camp which was twice a week lost 10 inches in my body(way more to go so don't clap too hard) that month and was driven to do my first 5k. Now i am going to train for a 10 k at the end of summer. If I can do it anyone can. btw- the picture was taken at 6:50 in the morning so don't judge :)

Summer do's

Brooke decided she wanted to cut her hair short so we took her and Mike was really worried about it but I think it is adorable (she would of went shorter but Mike said not too short) and sydney just got her's a little shorter also.

7 months

This post is like 2 weeks late but I still can't believe Kira is 7 months old.
At 7 months
She weighs 15 pds (5%)
She is crawling everywhere
Pulling herself up on anything
She loves anything she can put in her mouth especially the little puffers for babies
She still doesn't sleep(maybe cause she is still so tiny) (she is still waking up about 3 times a night.
She likes to crawl under tables and chairs and then gets mad cause she's stuck.
She loves her sister Brooke
She hates squash and applesauce
She is just so much fun (except the nights) and we are so happy to have her in our family.

Easter

We had a great Easter even with the snow which I could of done without but the girls had a blast. I just love holidays and even more now that I have children.

6 months already

On the 24th Kira turned 6 months. Is it crazy to say the time has flown and felt like forever in the same sentence. maybe I'm the only one who understand what I mean(which is usually the case :)
We went to her 6 month checkup and she weighs 14.2 pounds which puts her in the 20% percentile and she is 25.5 inches long which is the 45%. But she is in the 80 % of her head size. (big head like daddy) She is small like Brooke was. She is moving around like crazy she is almost crawling not quite there but so close any day and she will she's that close. But she does move anywhere she wants to go when she gets fed up trying to crawl by being a little inch worm (picture that 80's dance move and there you go) We are so in love with this little girl she is funny, sleeping a little better not great but better than before, she loves to get in the middle of the girls toys and play, she is definitely a mommy's girl and Brooke can make her laugh like no one else.

Tooth Fairy.

Brooke lost her first tooth today. That makes me sad in a way. I feel like she is too young to have already lost a tooth and now its hitting me she is getting too big. Two days ago she noticed that her tooth was loose and it was making her nervous so Michael explained about the tooth fairy and how she would come and visit the night you lost your tooth so that calmed her down and so today when it came out she told me that she was going to get money tonight. I hope the tooth fairy remembers her job tonight and doesn't forget. Look at that goofy smile now. I just love it... (I did tell her to smile where I could see her bottom teeth so that's not her everyday smile)

The Solution to sleep problems

So Kira had her 4 month checkup today and the doctor said he heard a heart murmor which freaked me out but he seemed ok and said he would listen again at 6 months and it's somewhat common for little ones so I will trust him for now. She has gotten taller thank goodness at her 2 month cheekup she was in the 5th percentille and now is in the 47th and 30th in weight. So growing right along.
I have been having issues with her sleep so that was one of my main concerns with this appt. I was looking for answers. At this point with Brooke and Sydney we had them on schedules and sleeping in a crib and through the night. Kira not so much. Every night is different. So I told the doctor about how she loves to be swaddled but fights her way out and then gets mad and how she wants a pacifier to go to sleep but can't keep it in her mouth and then wakes up mad that it's not there so his solution get rid of both. He said her problem is that she can't soothe herself and needs to learn how and that is what the pacifier and swaddling aren't doing. So I am so scared to get rid of things that I know works temporary but am willing to try anything for some sleep. I am even putting her down early now(8pm) (she was going down at 10pm) and tonight trying these things so wish me luck or just pray for me not to go crazy doing so.

Can it be summer already.

No new pictures. Been slacking. But wishing i could be sitting on this pier right now.

We haven't been up to very much lately. It really feels like winter. I hibernate in the winter and with a little baby I have really hunkered down. I'm starting to get cabin fever and ready for warmer weather.
Kira is 4 months now and still not sleeping great but with that sweet little smile of hers it doesn't matter. She is rolling over now, squealing, and loves watching her sisters play. Brooke and Sydney are in the helping stage I think the jar of earning tickets for a pizza party helps so they are always helping and then asking if that was nice and if they earned a ticket for their good deed. It's adorable. I am on a quest of trying to shed off my baby weight and it gets harder and harder with every kid and exercise is almost impossible unless Mike is home so 2x a week. Hopefully my goal will be in reach.
I hope everyone is having a great 2010 so far.

3 Months

Kira turned 3 months on Christmas eve. I can't believe how time flies. I have a 5 year old, 3 year old and a 3 month old. Crazy...
Kira is not the best sleeper still we are hoping that turns around soon but there has been some improvement she sleeps from about 10:30 to 3 and then from about 4 to 7 (which this sleep is with me and is very restless to say the lest for both of us)
She is a big time cuddler and most of the time only wants mommy. Which makes getting anything done hard.
She is still taking about 4 naps a day.
She loves to smile when you talk to her and she will talk to you when you do this.
We are so in love with her and am so thankful for her good health now.

5 years ago

December 11 2004 we were in grand forks, north dakota. Mike was in school for aviation at UND. We had amazing friends there, a great ward, lots of snow and ice especially that night. We went to the hospital at 9pm and at 3:28 that next morning on the 12th we had a beautiful little girl that we named Brooke Danna Constantine. We were so in love with this baby and still are. She is such a sweet and girly girl. Happy 5th Birthday Brooke.

2 months

I can't believe Kira is 2 months already. She is such a wonderful addition to our family.
She is smiling some now, is such a cuddlier, hates her cradle and just wants to sleep with mommy, hates to be put down at all, but gives such cute looks and faces its hard to want to sometimes. She weighs 10 pds and is 20 inches long. She is a shorty. We love you Kira

Halloween

Halloween was a little crazy this year. On thursday Kira was admitted to the hospital cause she was running a high fever and was dehydrated. Later to find out she had strep and a viral infection. And yes due to what most people have been told a baby under 1 can have strep. I was told otherwise when I got strep when she was 3 weeks. Anyway I had to stay with her in Pediatrics and luckily Mike was home to entertain the girls. I was worried about missing Halloween cause brooke and sydney were really excited this year about halloween but Kira got out of the hospital Sat morning so I got to see the girls in action. They loved trick or treating this year and Kira is doing much better on antibotics.

Kira's Blessing

Kira was blessed on the 25th. We blessed her at home with family. We are so lucky to have this sweet little spirit in our lives.

One crazy month

Kira is a month old today and in that month we have been very sleep deprived, I have had strep throat, allergic reaction to medication, breast infection, trips to the hospital everyday for a week to check jaudice levels, days and nights mixed up with kira (getting a little better on that one) and stomach bugs, and lots of loving on this little girl. We are so happy she is apart of our family and love her so much. She loves to be held and cuddled.
